A Comprehensive Strategy For The Calgary Metropolitan Area Churches. Problem In my 16 years of ministry, in every location I have pastored, the church has struggled to connect with the surrounding community. In Calgary, there are 14 Seventh-day Adventist churches and companies. These churches have, on occasion, worked in unity for evangelism. However, according to several of the local pastors, that has not happened for over 10 years. If the churches in Calgary are to fulfill the Great Commission, an effective way of engaging the community is needed. Because the communities that surround churches are growing increasingly secular, comprehensive evangelistic strategies may be an effective way…

The Calgary Stampede (French: Stampede de Calgary) is an annual rodeo, exhibition, and festival held every July in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The ten-day event, which bills itself as "The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth", attracts over one million visitors per year and features one of the world's largest rodeos, a parade, midway, stage shows, concerts, agricultural competitions, chuckwagon racing, and First Nations exhibitions. In 2008, the Calgary Stampede was inducted into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame. The event's roots are traced to 1886 when the Calgary and District Agricultural Society held its first fair. In 1912, American promoter Guy Weadick organized his first rodeo and festival, known…

This is a list of the largest cities in Canada by census starting with the 1871 census of Canada, the first national census. In the earlier census, only communities that were incorporated as cities at the time of each census are presented. Therefore, the list does not include any incorporated towns (T) that may have been larger than any incorporated cities at each census. As various provinces take divergent approaches toward municipal governance, population figures that confined strictly to formal municipal boundary became less meaningful data. In recognition of the close economic or geographical relationship and community of interest satellite communities in proximity to cities but may be…

Census metropolitan areas (CMAs) and census agglomerations (CAs) are geographic units defined by Statistics Canada to encompass an urban core and environs. This list is arranged by population, using data from the 2021 and 2016 Canadian censuses. A city's metropolitan area in colloquial or administrative terms may be different from its CMA as defined by Statistics Canada, resulting in differing populations. Such is the case with the Greater Toronto Area, where its metro population is notably higher than its CMA population due to its inclusion of the neighbouring Oshawa CMA to the east and the Burlington portion of the neighbouring Hamilton CMA to the west. In 2021, 27,465,137 people (71.9% o…

Association of Geography With Screening and Development of Cervical Neoplasia in Those With Inflammatory Bowel Disease.. Background While cancer risk is elevated in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), results are less clear for cervical cancer. Screening has made cervical cancer relatively preventable, but geography impacts access, possibly increasing rates of cancer in rural and remote areas. We investigated (1) odds of cervical cancer, (2) cervical cancer screening participation, and (3) impact of geography (eg, rurality) and immunosuppression on the odds of cervical cancer and cervical cancer screening participation in the IBD population in Alberta, Canada. Methods A population-based cohor…
